A full trailer for the Max Payne movie came up a few days ago and from the looks of it… it actually seems watchable. The trademark John Woo-style action’s there, and they definitely got the atmosphere and feel of the game right. Hopefully Mark Wahlberg (who plays the lead role) does better acting than his stint on “The Happening”. But oh well, Mila Kunis is also in this so, hooray for the hotness! Max Payne is based on the hit action video game of the same name, considered by some as one of the best third person shooters ever. Hopefully the movie delivers, there’s so much promise in this franchise.
Kotaku.com delivered some interesting details regarding Marvel Ultimate Alliance II, the sequel to one of the best superhero games ever. There were leaks regarding the setting of the game, and it seems like it’ll be based on Marvel’s highly successful crossover event “Civil War”, where heroes chose sides and fought against each other.
I loved “Civil War” despite it’s flaws, and the mere thought of being able to play it makes me really excited. I wonder though if the heroes’ affiliations will be fixed,… if not then it’ll be interesting to play as Iron Man on the anti-registration side. Another interesting feature will be the game’s “ability fusion” system where you can fuse the abilities of 2 heroes to create a being with hybrid abilities. Spider-Wolverine anyone?
I’m a pretty big gamer myself, and I saw this video earlier that shows that Darth Vader is playable on the first parts of the upcoming game Star Wars Force Unleashed. Vader’s probably my favorite Star Wars character, and the fact that he’s playable during the Kashykk level is really making me want to get this game. I mean, it’s not everyday that you can force choke Wookies and throw them against trees, right? ![]()
