Is it just me or is the temperature too friggen hot right now? I swear I thought the trees outside were going to burst in flames (well, they did a few miles away)! If this continues I’m not sure I’m going to hold out… gah. I spent most of the day inside the house, but even the AC didn’t help. If this doesn’t spell GLOBAL WARMING, I don’t know what will.

In other news we’re going to see Wall-e this weekend. I loved Pixar’s movies and I think Wall-e will be their best yet! The trailer’s absolutely brilliant and all the reviews for it said it’s phenomenal.

The Dark Knight’s coming up really soon too, and I’m planning to watch it on IMAX! There have also been some early reviews for it but I avoided getting spoiled since I’m pretty sure it’ll come up great.

And of course there’s Hellboy II which wasn’t really in my radar earlier in the year but after seeing the awesome trailer and knowing that Hellboy will now be taking center stage, I’m hoping that this sequel will be better than the first film. I like monster movies though and the costumes in this movie are just amazing, it just shows how Guillermo del Toro loves creating unique worlds and creatures for his movies. It kinda makes me glad that he’ll be doing “The Hobbit”, I’m sure it’ll come out spectacular!

The Dark Knight has a new trailer up in HD! It’s precursor ‘Batman Begins’ set the standard for superhero movies thanks to director Christopher Nolan’s vision, replacing the camp of the previous films with a darker atmosphere and a more serious, realistic theme. It’s no surprise that the sequel ‘The Dark Knight’ is the most anticipated movie of 2008 as I’m sure people can’t wait to see their take on Batman’s archnemesis, the Joker.

Heath Ledger’s take on the Joker is terrifyingly unbelievable, with his unsettling appearance and that freaky laughter. I’m sure a lot of kids will be scared shitless by him. There’s a couple of new stuff in the trailer too, such as Harvey Dent’s transformation into the villian Two-Face. I’m also liking the new Batman score though nothing’s still as iconic as the one used in the Burton films.

Another thing I loved about The Dark Knight is it’s excellent viral marketing campaign, it really helps develop the theme and characters of the movie and makes you feel more immersed in it. Well it does seem like this movie will be a even bigger success than “Begins”, and will definitely be one of the biggest movies of the year (next to Iron Man anyway :D)!

The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale, Heath Legder, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Micheal Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman.
